Non-Profit Physician Organization

Since its inception as a non-profit medical organization in 2016, the ACADEMY takes pride in designing and developing needs and value-based continuing health education (CHE) activities in multiple disease areas. As a growing medical organization, we are committed to offering best-in-class educational initiatives for Canadian Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), members and stakeholders.  To do so, we rely on and are extremely grateful for the sponsorships and funding the Academy has received from external partners.

To enable the ACADEMY scientific committees to focus on the pedagogical approaches, methodologies, and scientific content, a collaborative agreement has been established with MedPlan Communications, a full-service healthcare communications agency, offering a broad range of expertise in program logistics, graphic design, and digital platforms since 1998. The support of the MedPlan team with the logistics and organization of programs, makes it possible for the ACADEMY to offer and deploy an impressive range of certified and accredited programs with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) as well as several Royal College providers.

As an organization that is driven by professional ethical and legal standards, the ACADEMY will continue to follow established guiding principles and, therefore, provides a strict compliance framework for collaboration partners and healthcare professionals involved with our various CPD activities. Moving forward, we look forward to developing valued CHE programs and other learning activities that will have a direct impact on clinical practice, healthcare team effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
